I think I just ate the Groom

Helena Stringer - Pixel Mythos - I think I just ate the Groom - 1
Disoriented, she crawls out of a damp, dark place.

With her mind still foggy, she tries to make sense of what is going on. She knows it is night, she has a glimmer of recognition as to where she is.

Why exactly she is in the cemetery, laying under the church no less, she has no clue.

She looks down upon herself, noticing the absurd amount of blood on her hands. What has she been doing? She checks over herself, and notices that her clothing is pristine. Not a drop of blood anywhere. While the colours might not suit her tastes(who wears black anyway?), at least she isn’t injured and mucky.

She hears footsteps near the path.

“Hello . . .HELLO! Would you be so kind as to tell me what is going on around here?”

She hears the footsteps scurrying faster.

Out of the shadows they call, “The Mayor’s son has disappeared, his wife-to-be was murdered, they think. They were to be married a few mornings ago, she never arrived. They found a mess at her home, and her parents brutally murdered. I don’t think this is the time, nor the type of night to be out late, my dear, best be going home, while you still can. Weird happenings are always close to this town, the not so Sleepy Hallow.”

The Footsteps sound faster, then go faintly into the night.

She looks at herself again. While the colour seems off, her clothing and adornments do suggest a more formal affair. A familiar sent wafts up from the dried muck on her hands.

She decides to get answers, and starts to weave through the tombstones. She trips over something, lands heavily to the ground, and comes face to face with what is left of a man. Or she things it was a man, given the suit he is wearing.

Most of his neck is savagely torn apart, not leaving much flesh, with the spinal cord glistening in the moonlight. The same scent from her hands assails her, from the dark stain pooling beneath the wound.

Something clicks in her head, and the memories flood in.

“Well, I guess Mama was right after all. I was to lead the life of a spinster, forever alone. She was so surprised about the proposal, when it finally came. Well, I guess it was not meant to be, I think I just ate the Groom.”

“Oh, I have something on my face? Was it over here, did I get it?”

Vampire Chronicles is a new, rather unknown event, that actually ends tomorrow. If you are in need of a few new things, for all your dark, undeadly dealings, please stop on by while you have the chance. Also, keep a watch out for the next round of the event.

Fantasy Gacha Carnival starts it’s new round in a few days, May 12th to be exact. I am so very excited, this rounds themes were mostly right up my alley, so you will be seeing lots on the blog, in the next little while.
